Synopsis
60″ tells the story of Antakya, a city thousands of years old whose life has been rebuilt after earthquake upon earthquake. Shot in the aftermath of the 60-second earthquake of 6 February 2023 and built from 60 shots, the documentary leaves the viewer alone with those left among the city’s ruins from the very first day. Moving from images of cars backed up for kilometres on the roads to the struggle for survival of those who stayed behind, the film offers a powerful visual experience that lets us feel the layers of Antakya as it was before the destruction, and the spirit of the city itself.
