Synopsis

What happens if your child tells you that they are gay, bisexual or transsexual?

‘My Child’ is a feature-length documentary that focuses on a group of parents in Turkey whose children are LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual), bringing the stories of these brave and inspiring parents to the audience. In this documentary we witness seven parents sharing, in the most sincere way, their own experiences as they redefine what it means to be a parent and family, and at the same time an activist, in a conservative, homophobic and transphobic society. Not only do these parents travel the difficult road of accepting their children as they are; they go further and share their experiences with other LGBT families and with society.
